Privacy Policy
Plain English, no legal maze. Questions? Contact us.
Tune Queue ("we", "us") provides a live song request platform for venues. This explains what information we collect, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect, and from whom
Guests scanning a QR code: no name, email, or account. Just a random, anonymous session code stored in your own browser, used to stop duplicate votes and apply moderation fairly. It isn't linked to your real identity in any way.
DJs using the queue dashboard: same as above — no account, no personal data.
Venue owners with an account: your email, your name (if provided), a securely stored password (never visible to us), and venue details (name, location, branding).
Boost payments (when enabled): handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card or bank details — only a short reference code linking your venue to its account.
Why we collect it
To provide the service, keep the platform fair, and email you about your account — like a welcome message when you sign up, password resets, support replies, or changes we make to your trial or pricing. We don't use your email for marketing, and we don't sell it to anyone.
Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to keep you logged in securely. No tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no separate cookie popup; this is that disclosure.
Who we share data with
A small number of trusted providers who help us run Tune Queue: Supabase (database, EU-based), Vercel (hosting), Resend (account emails), and Stripe (payments, when enabled). Each has their own data protection obligations. We don't share your data for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we do — see your rights below.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or take your data elsewhere.
To do any of this, use the "Request account deletion" option in your account settings, or contact us.
If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the UK's regulator, the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Children
Tune Queue is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via the notification system in your account, or by email.
